About Emircom LLC

Emircom LLC is a leading systems integrator and digital transformation partner headquartered in Abu Dhabi, with operations across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Through its ESG Governance and Reporting Programme, Emircom has established a structured, data-driven approach to environmental performance, social responsibility and ethical governance. The programme combines executive oversight, a cross-functional ESG Steering Committee, ISO-certified management systems, GRI-aligned reporting, measurable KPIs and phased assurance planning. Key achievements include a formal 2024 ESG baseline, comprehensive carbon measurement, zero workplace incidents, full regulatory compliance, certified e-waste recycling, digital inclusion initiatives and a defined pathway to reduce emissions by 25% and increase renewable energy use to 30% by 2028.

Outcome overview

The programme has created a credible baseline and measurable evidence across environmental, social and governance performance, while establishing the controls required for sustained improvement.

Environmentally, Emircom completed a formal carbon-footprint baseline of 2,399.13 tCO₂e for 2024. Within the reported inventory, Scope 1 emissions were recorded at 203.59 tCO₂e and Scope 2 emissions at 8.60 tCO₂e. Electricity consumption of 601,429 kWh was tracked, providing a measurable basis for energy-intensity reduction and future decarbonisation planning.

The baseline directly supports Emircom’s 2028 targets to reduce emissions by 25% and increase renewable-energy use to 30%. Rather than setting unsupported aspirations, Emircom linked each target to defined indicators, responsible owners, reporting frequencies and evidence sources.

The organisation introduced a certified e-waste recycling programme across its headquarters operations, with all retired assets subject to secure data sanitisation and certified disposal. This supports Emircom’s longer-term target of zero IT waste to landfill. Waste manifests and recycler certificates provide traceable evidence of implementation.

Technology-led initiatives have also generated operational and client value. Immersion-cooled data-centre solutions are capable of reducing cooling energy requirements by approximately 30–50% per site. Cloud migration and virtualisation have reduced redundant infrastructure, enabled the shutdown or repurposing of legacy equipment and lowered associated power and cooling requirements.

Social performance was equally strong. Emircom reported zero workplace incidents and zero lost-time injuries during 2024. Safety and EHS training achieved 100% completion, supported by ISO 45001 controls and QHSE monitoring. More than 1,500 training hours were delivered, contributing to employee capability, awareness and professional development.

Community impact was demonstrated through digital literacy and inclusion initiatives reaching more than 200 beneficiaries. Emircom donated over 50 refurbished devices to five schools and collaborated with academic and community partners to support STEM learning and technology access. These initiatives extended the ESG programme beyond internal compliance and created direct social value.

Governance outcomes included zero regulatory violations, zero fines and zero major data breaches. The ISO 14001 audit was completed without major non-conformities, supporting confidence in environmental controls. Information-security governance is reinforced through ISO/IEC 27001, while business continuity is supported through ISO 22301.

The programme also improved decision-usefulness. ESG information is consolidated from utility records, fuel data, HR systems, QHSE registers, procurement evaluations, recycler documentation and ISMS logs. Quarterly Steering Committee reviews convert this information into management actions, resource decisions and improvement priorities.

Evidence is maintained through a structured repository that includes:

the 2024 carbon-footprint report;
ISO certificates and audit records;
utility and fuel records;
recycling certificates and waste manifests;
HR and training dashboards;
QHSE and incident registers;
supplier evaluation scorecards;
information-security records; and
ESG committee minutes.

The value created extends across stakeholder groups. Employees benefit from safer working conditions, development and well-being initiatives. Communities benefit from digital inclusion and education support. Regulators receive transparent evidence of compliance. Clients benefit from lower-carbon technology solutions and stronger supplier credibility. Investors and leadership gain improved visibility of ESG risks, opportunities and long-term resilience.

The most significant impact is that ESG performance is no longer represented by isolated activities. It is now governed through measurable targets, assigned ownership, documented evidence and a clear assurance pathway.
